Cat Eyes

Note to self: need to start ironing my clothes. Oops
 Meet Doug!
I lost that beautiful spiral ring down the woods. I was devastated. My heart is still breaking over it as I type this :(
Meet Betty the French Schipperke
 Gazing up to God.
Last but certainly not least, Jack the Jack Russel.

Cat Jumper- ASOS// Skirt and Chain Rings- H&M// Boots- eBay// Faux Fur Jacket- Market in Birmingham//
Nail Polish- And Other Stories

How genius is this jumper? Elbow patches that come in the form of cats; bravo, ASOS, bravo indeed. I instantly fell in love with it when I saw Amy from The Little Magpie tweet about it. Little did I know that my ever so thoughtful boyfriend had noticed it on my instagram and had ordered it for me as an anniversary gift (which was last month). Chuffed is an understatement to describe how I felt when he handed it over to me. The fit is perfect and it's thickness is just about right for Spring which is a bonus. I paired it up with my most beloved Kenzo inspired skirt from H&M. The pairing of the short skater design and the long sleeves on the jumper allows me to play with different proportions, which I think is perfect for Spring as, let's be honest, it's still a little chilly out.

Speaking of which, on Friday we were blessed to have the most beautiful weather that we've seen so far this year, so Jay and I decided to take his dogs Jack, Doug and Betty for a walk down the woods (that lovely little Husky only came over to say hello and pose for a picture, cheeky). You might have noticed that I'm wearing my ankle boots but don't worry, I didn't actually go for a walk wearing those bad boys. I knew it was going to be super muddy down there so I was sensible and borrowed Jay's mums trainers. Trust me, the boots came straight back off as soon as Jay took the last photo.

I love nature and appreciate it's beauty and tranquillity so a day like Friday was just perfect for me. I'm just awaiting for the Summer to finally arrive where I can spend my days out in the sunshine exploring hidden gems around Swansea and Cardiff with Jay (and dogs).

Hope you're having a lovely weekend. What have you been up to?

Oxwich

What a privilege it is to be back in Wales :) After three years of university in Birmingham, it's so comforting to know that I can permanently call South Wales my home again. My boyfriend lives in Swansea so yesterday we decided to take a drive down Gower and have a little evening stroll down the beach. Oxwich Bay has always been one of my favourite beaches as it holds so many memories of my childhood. The innocence, fragility and comfort of spending the day down the beach with your loved ones :) That was always something that I wasn't able to do on a warm day in Birmingham (although the canal is very lovely too).

I managed to squeeze in a mini outfit post. I love being able to wear brighter colours when the sun is out as it reflects my mood perfectly. As it is Wales, it was still a little chilly so covering your limbs with appropriate garments is still necessary. I teamed this mustardy shirt with the most beautifully, woven jacket that I own. I always get compliments whenever I wear it. Such a perfect jacket to wear during the Summer as it provides just the right amount of warmth. As some of you may know, an outfit never feels complete for me without an accessory. This lovely sparrow necklace has been a favourite of mine for a long time, so delicate and beautiful. It adds a soft, finishing touch to any outfit.

Have you finished your exams? Hope they went well and if you've still got some left- Good luck :)

Spring has Sprung

I'm nearly into the third week of my Easter break already and after piling on layers and layers of clothes to shield myself away from the coldness, I can officially say that the sun has finally come out to say hello :). Hooray! I'm so glad that every last bit of the snow has gone and that I can actually add more loose fitted shirts and peep toe shoes to my outfits again, although having suffered from this hideous cold I should still opt for more layers but I was too excited to see the sun and feel some warmth against my skin.

I wore to outfit to a little going away party that some of my parents friends organised for us. We're hoping to move to Cardiff soon, exciting times. I bought these peep toe shoes from River Island back in January and have been itching to wear them out, alas the perfect opportunity finally came. Teaming them up with casual, high waisted black pants and a simple white shirt tucked in kept the outfit on trend without trying too hard. As for accessories, I opted for a statement necklace which I think added interest to the whole outfit. I absolutely love accessories that enhance and add beauty to the neck, I always focus on that area through necklaces, collar chains and scarves. I hope you like this outfit. Is it sunny where you are? How have you been enjoying the sunshine?
