A Pop of Tartan

Shirt- eBay// Blazer- H&M// Scarf- Urban Outfitters// Jeans- GAP// Boots- Gift// Lipstick- Collection in Queen of Hearts

Hello everyone. How have you been? Hope your week's going a lot better than mine. I'm still hideously ill and I'm hoping to shift it before Local Natives on the weekend. Let's hope!
I've had this scarf for over a year and swear it only really makes an appearance over Winter (funny that) and I feel that this year I can fully embrace it haha. If you've been reading my blog for a while (thank you) then you'll know that I love prints and a clash of them and colours. This is exactly what this scarf brings to every outfit that I match it with and the fact that it's tartan makes it all the more special.

Happy Wednesday!

Lavish Alice Wish List

Hey guys, hope you're having a great start to the week. Today's post is a little different. I'm sure you've all heard of Manchester based online store Lavish Alice. I've recently been entered in their Style Off competition (see image below) so here's hoping that I get through to the next step of their competition. *Fingers crossed* :)

As you can see, the wishlist that I created consist of very on trend pieces for Autumn/ Winter. I love the mixture of the ember tones as well as the gorgeous houndstooth and snake skin prints. I'm still in love with two pieces and Lavish Alice currently have some of the most gorgeous designs, I'll definitely be asking my boyfriend to get me some for my birthday. Wink wink! Hope you like my wishlist and please comment down below with your thoughts on the items.

Have a lovely week.

Pink and Silver

Jumper and Dress- Topshop// Necklace- H&M// Brogues- Primark// Tights- Miss Selfridge

Following on from yesterday's post, I just can't seem to stop layering. I always love the illusion of a dress transforming into a skirt once it's layered over with a great, chunky knitwear. I happened to pinch this pretty number and the metallic dress from my sister. I swear I love her wardrobe more than mine, so typical but I'm not even sorry haha. I guess I've completely re-conformed and fallen in love with this seasons most prominent colour. I'll try not to dig through childhood photos where my everyday outfits were compilations of every shades of pink thrown together though. Oops.

Burgundy

Dress- Boohoo// Shirt- Charity Shop// Shoes- Boohoo

I wear this super sweet little number from Boohoo quite often so I'm not sure how/why I've never dedicated a blog post to it. Apart from the gorgeous burgundy colour and the most playful African inspired motifs, the subtle pleats and length are what drew me into buying the dress. Layering is one of my favourite Autumn trends and I can do just that with this dress. Today I decided to team it up with my proudest Charity shop purchase to date.
Also, I must apologise for my lack of posts lately. I've had a hideous cold and migraine and am still on the road to recovery. Hope you've all had a lovely week. Any plans for the weekend?

Thursday's Are Casual

Shit and Jeans- GAP// Bag- Charity Shop// Leather Jacket- Forever 21// Socks- Primark// Boots- Gift

Don't worry, I can't believe I'm wearing jeans either. These are my first pair in over seven years- crazy! I know I go on about it a lot, but having annoyingly short limbs stop me from wearing jeans or trousers in general. I just think that they emphasise just how little I am haha, but I'm sure I'll eventually get over this.

I love how you instantly feel more causal and dressed down once you wear denim; and this is why anything denim will always be a staple piece in my wardrobe. Also, spending the past few weeks unwrapping Christmas stock in work has clearly rubbed off on the way I dress: greens and reds galore! Haha! we're two months ish away from Christmas and I am already sick of seeing decorations. Massive Scrooge! Sorry!

Hope you've had a lovely week. Any plans for the weekend? :D

Eyes

Blazer- H&M// Shirt- Select// Skirt- H&M// Brooch- Forever 21// Shoes- Boohoo

Two months after buying this skirt and I'm still completely in love with it. It's not just the crazy Kenzo-esque eye motif that drew me in; the flattering cut and length also played a huge part. I have the littlest limbs so anything that's high waisted is a winner for me. The weather's been very pleasant today so I swapped my super thick winter coat in favour for this gorgeous plaid blazer from H&M. Such a sucker for a well fitted blazer too.

Hope you're having a great weekend.

Black Black

Crop Top- Primark// Skirt- Miss Selfridge// Shoes- Primark// Necklace- H&M

After trying to conform by adding more bold, colourful patterns into my wardrobe, I think it's safe to say that my love for black will never ever go away. To be honest, I think today's miserable weather had a lot to do with it. Of course I had to chuck in a statement necklace in there for good measure. My outfits never feel complete without them.

Hope you're having a great week :)
