Corally Red

Dress- New Look// Bag- Next// Rings- H&M// Necklace- Topshop// Sandals- Primark

What I wore last week which was only what I could describe as the most humid and stressful week ever. It seems my 'all black' phase is long behind me, and I can always trust this coral/orange/red dress to lift my spirits up.
I'm starting a new job next Monday and today is my sisters 25th. If I can ignore the humidity and concentrate more on the positives of life; then I think that I am pretty blessed.

Hope you're all having a fantastic weekend.

Stripes & Embroidery

Rings and Top- H&M// Shorts- River Island// Bag- Charity Shop// Shoes- Asos

As I've mentioned in pretty much every single post; I love basic clothing, neutral tones and anything that falls under the 'throw on and go' category (I really am not a fan of spending so much time putting outfits together). So when I saw this baggy striped top in H&M for just £7.99, I just knew that I had to get it. I love how effortless it looks when it's teamed up with anything, yet your outfit still remains to look chic and Summery. Speaking of seasons, I am weirdly excited for the transition into Autumn and Winter and know that I'll definitely still be wearing this tee on much cooler days with high waisted trousers. But for now, I will keep wearing these gorgeous embroidered shorts until the sun decides to wave us farewell.

Hope you've had a great week. What are your plans for the weekend?

Neutral Go To's

Top- Zara// Trousers- Uniqlo// Bag- Charity Shop// Sandals- Asos

Introducing you to my most favourite and trusted neutral go to's that are perfect for days when I am in a massive rush. There is nothing more perfect than wearing a crisp white top over the Summer, which can be paired with anything and everything. If I don't mind saying so myself, it's nice to have a break from my usual daily uniform of wearing black head to toe.

What are your go to staple pieces for days when you're in a rush? :)

Hope you're having a great week so far.

Lana

Shirt- Forever 21// Jeans & Boots- River Island// Belt- New Look// Rings- H&M// Bag- Charity Shop// Earrings- Everours

Here is an example of one of the many perks of listening to Lana del Rey- Blue Jeans first thing in the morning. Yes, I know it's so literal but I love casual Fridays and have never been so happy to spend a whole day out in Cardiff sans a jumper or jacket. Sun, please stay out for us.
My favourite thing about these high waisted jeans is that they make me look a little taller, teeny weeny taller. I look at least 5"4, right? No?

Hope you've had a great week. Happy Friday! Any plans for the weekend?

Tumbleweed

Jacket- boohoo// Shirt- Select// Dress, Bag & Rings- H&M// Necklace c/o Stone & Armour // Shoes- Topshop

Well, well, well, long time no see, guys. I know I've been extremely absent from my blog and that it's been over two months (yikes) since my last post. I don't even think that anyone has missed my presence or even noticed my lack of posts, and I don't even have a valid reason for my absence. I guess I just got a hideous bloggers block and didn't have the energy or passion to find any relevant content for this little blog of mine.

I'll just leave you with this outfit post for the time being. I picked up this gorgeous dress from the H&M sale for just £4 and find that it's perfect for the humid weather that we've been having as of late. I've teamed the dress up with my most trusted boohoo fringed jacket, the cutest silver H&M rings and this gorgeous beaded necklace that was kindly sent to me by the lovely Laura from Stone & Armour.

I hope you're all having a fantastic Summer and that you're enjoying whatever it is that you're all up to. I can't wait to have a catch up with you all. Hopefully, my next post will be dedicated to my time at Glastonbury a few weeks ago.

Dress- New Look// Bag- Charity Shop// Shoes- Asos

Last week I had a little mooch around the shops without having any intention of making new purchases, I joke. I was totally looking for new dresses to wear over the Summer and I managed to find just that and it came in the form of this pretty, navy smock dress from New Look. Want to hear the best part? I picked it up for just a fiver, oh and it was from the 915 section so technically it was designed for a 14 year old girl. Sad to accept that at aged 22 I can still fit into teenagers clothes. Sigh!

I decided to team the dress up with my beloved Penny Lane platforms from Asos. I should mention that my generous boyfriend got me these as a replacement to my original pair which got hideously ruined on a night out, but more on that another time.

I hope you've all had a wonderful weekend and haven't been blown away by the vicious wind. It is genuinely scary out there.

Block

Jacket-Forever 21// Cropped Top and Brogues- Primark// Skirt- H&M// Bag- Charity Shop

I'm not sure what's happened to cause this 'bloggers block' that I've recently had. Maybe it's the continuous and tedious job hunting that I'm currently doing plus, attending interviews after interviews. It's such a snooze fest and I hope that I can get 'back into blogging' properly. So apologies for my lack of posts as of late.

Anyway, on to this outfit. I picked up this gorgeous skirt from H&M for just £5.99 and headed straight to the tills despite being practically skint, but I regret nothing. I love the weight of the skirt and the simple yet chic button detailing really finishes off the design beautifully for me. I'll definitely be wearing this a lot more come the Summer with more cropped tops but minus the tights and leather jacket (hopefully).

What are your plans for the weekend? Are you getting up to much? :)

Daisy Street

Blazer- H&M// Shirt- Select// Jumpsuit- Daisy Street via Asos// Shoes- Asos// Necklace- Shop Dixi// Bag- Charity Shop

Happy Maundy Thursday! Stopped over at Cowbridge to attend church and managed to squeeze in a few snaps just before the service began. Taking full advantage of the generous extra 15% off sale items that asos were offering just last week, I decided to really step out of my comfort zone and purchase the most loveliest jumpsuit that I have seen in a while. Now, being 5"2 and having disproportioned limbs, I do often find it a mission to buy full sleeved tops and trousers where cutting a few inches off isn't a requirement. Well, Praise the Lord on Holy Week for this jumpsuit fits like a glove.

What are your plans for Easter and the weekend? Mine? I plan to eat myself into a chocolate coma.

Feeling Creative

Hello everyone. I hope you had a great weekend and you're enjoying this glorious weather that we've been blessed with. Today's post is a little different to my usual outfit post and monthly favourites (still need to get my February and March post up- oops).

I'm going to show you how to transform your old, lifeless shirts into a cute and on trend cropped top. So here we go :)

--------------------
You will need:
-Old Shirt (Charity Shops have some fantastic ones)
-Fabric Scissors
-Chalk
-Pins
-Sewing Machine

I picked up this pink Gap shirt from a charity shop just for a pound because I absolutely fell in love with the colour. To be honest, if it had been in my size then I probably would have left it alone but as it looked so out of proportion when I wore it, I've decided to do this mini tutorial to show you just how easy it is to create your own.

1) I began by using a chalk to subtly mark out just how cropped I wanted the top to be. Note: Make sure you leave seam allowance and make leave it 2 inches longer than you want it to as it'll help you to sew with ease later.

2) I turned the shirt inside out and started to use pins to fold up the seams on the bottom and on the sleeves.
3) Start sewing carefully, making sure that you remove each pin as you go along.
4) Here you go. :)  You're super easy and cute cropped top is finished. (Note to self: using an iron won't hurt).

--------------------

I hope that this post helped you and inspired you to create and rework into the clothes that you already have. I do apologise if I wasn't clear enough on some steps, don't hesitate to let me know if you'd like me to go over anything in detail.

Have you made/designed anything recently? :)

Menace

Top and Belt- New Look// Jeans- River Island// Bag- H&M// Shoes- Asos

Finally, after years and years of vigorously searching for the perfect pair of jeans, I have found them and they actually fit me. I mean, I don't even have to fold them up or anything AND they're high waisted. To say that I was over the moon when I snapped these up in River Island would be an understatement. (My fellow short limbed girls will know what I mean).

What types of jeans do you wear the most? Is there a particular style that you lean towards the most?

Moving on, I found these gorgeous Menace T-bar flats in the Asos sale for just £16 plus a further cheeky 10% off (thanks, Asos) and I already know just how much I'll be wearing them through Spring into Summer. So excited! Oh, and of course I threw on my beloved striped top to really complete the casual look.

Dungs

Dungarees- Miss Selfridge// Shirt- Forever 21// Blazer- H&M// Bag- Next// Brogues- Primark// Necklace- Shop Dixi

Officially kicking off Spring with my dungarees. I've had them for over 3 years and can never actually part from them whenever I try to list them on eBay. There's just something about owning a classic, denim dungarees that somehow makes my life complete. Similarly to my last post, I just can't get enough of pairing anything denim with anything white, there's just something so fresh and happy about those two formulas. Are there two types of colours or trends that you always team together to achieve that effortless look as well?

Also, I picked up this gorgeous little horse shoe necklace for just £1 in the Shop Dixi sale and I can't take it off. It's so delicate and simple, yet it just compliments everything that I wear and gives it that finishing touch nicely. This time last year I was all about the statement necklaces (you know the ones I'm talking about) but now, I can't ever imagine wearing a necklace that hasn't got a simple, sweet pendant. How times have changed, eh?

Hope you've had a fantastic weekend.

Pinny

Pinny, Shoes & Necklace- Primark// Shirt- Select

Anything denim paired with anything white is my most favourite formula for Spring/Summer. There's just something so classic and laid back about the two together. I wore my most trusted gold statement necklace from Primark to compliment the buttons on the sides of the pinny, which I think really finishes off the outfit nicely.
